Experimental Sound Studio (ESS) was founded in 1986 as a networking organization and production facility for and by artists and composers interested in exploratory approaches to sound. From its inception it has been dedicated to supporting an eclectic, multidisciplinary model for the sonic arts, and to facilitating the work of artists at every stage of their careers.
